Goofing Around

Hooooaamm...it's 9 pm here and I'm already sleepy. But I wanna share my photographs taken last weekend in my blog. Well, before that, let me tell you what I been through today. This morning, I bumped into one of my friends back in my first years in school. *I actually have been getting a load of her since a couple of weeks ago, for almost every day -- at the same place, she stands up waiting for the bus to take her to the office. But I wasn't so sure, so I just speculated. Then I opened my cell, scrolled down to my elementary school friends group, and violaaa...I found her. It's her, and we now end up talking both in Yahoo Messenger and Blackberry Messenger...So funny!

Oh ya...I forget to mention that today is quite the momentous occasion…My 1000th Tweet after almost a couple of years of taking Twitter as my social network. I felt that this particular Tweet needed to be profound (everything’s relative) – and so I’ve decided to use it to refer to this blog post ;)

A Small Journey to Onrust Island

Wew...first time I opened my blog, I saw my alexa rank went down to more than 2 million. Workload lately is so frustating. But, on the sideline of my crazy daily activities, I still want to keep this blog alive...

Curug Nangka Photo Hunting

February 5th, 2011...I went to Bogor with some colleagues to photo hunt. The destination was Curug Nangka, one of the mainstay waterfalls in Bogor regency. Its location was not a thing you could not reach by motorcycling or driving a car (we got there fully assisted by GPS, tho..LOL). Soon we arrived at the place, papz immediately pulled out his gear and took us some photos (as soon as he publish it on the web, I'll provide the link). Didn't wanna miss out the chance and moments, I took out my camera and started to capture those beautiful moments.

Jakarta Old Town

A couple of weeks ago, I went to the Jakarta Old Town (Kota Tua Jakarta), also known as Old Jakarta, or Old Batavia (Oud Batavia), with two of my colleagues, mas Didik and Pap, to have a photo hunting. This was the last time I took shots with my Nikon D5000 camera before I decided to sell it. So, enjoy the last photographs taken with my Nikon D5000.

Decompression - ruangrupa Presents

After 10 years of existence, ruangrupa, as a place for sharing ideas located in Jakarta, celebrated their tenth anniversary by holding events for 30 days in various places in Jakarta; from exhibitions, art collaborative projects, seminars, film screenings, music festivals, workshops, book publishing, video and film launching, as well as various works of art in public spaces.

Expanding The Space and Public was chosen as the theme for their events, involving individuals and organizations, both from Indonesia and foreign countries. I only got a chance to attend their event on Sunday, january 2. Anyway, I managed to capture some nice moments during the event. Hehehee...

New Year's Resolutions

The very tough and full-of-temptation year of 2010 has gone. I've learned many things and have found plenty of new things. For a moment, I just couldn't believe it. The year has gone so fast. But, a new beginning is coming. It awaits me, right over there...New year means a new me. Then what's new?

1. The most important thing - PRAY 5 TIMES A DAY!
2. Ride my bike more - to get healthier.
3. Eat better - to gain more weight.
4. Save more money - for my future.
5. Learn something new - means new challenges.
6. Become more organized - hmm...I am.
7. Manage time better - stay sharp.
8. Be more independent - everybody needs privacy.
9. Be more responsible - still struggling.
10. Be more often to reply text message - well, it depends.
11. Take a trip over Asia - which will be started on May.
12. Volunteer to help others - be generous, eh?
13. Find a better-half - I put it on the 12th?
14. Get a better job - 2 years are more than just enough.
15. Buy a fixie bike - a wish...
16. Stop smoking

Where did you spend your new year's eve? I was stuck at Hotel Indonesia roundabout, but managed to capture some fireworks there...

Sunda Kelapa Port and Car Free Day

The alarm went off at 3.58 in the morning. With the eyes half-opened, I grabbed the door lead me to the coldest place in house, the bathroom. I washed my face and brushed my teeth, then headed back to my room to recharge my camera battery. Yes, today I was going to photo hunt with colleagues at the butt end of the north area of Jakarta, the Sunda Kelapa port.

We agreed to assemble at Setiabudi One building. But I had to pick up a friend, so I inquired my colleagues to meet up at 7/11 Menteng. We gathered at 5.30 am, still waiting another member to turn up. The time showed fifteen to six and I was just afraid we won’t be able to capture the sunrise.

Nevertheless, I got quite good photos there (at least, I think so). It wasn’t that I expected, for the sky seemed to be a bit cloudy. But, you, my blog watchers, are the judges. Gimme some points!

I was about to delete this photo. But if I look it for an extended period of time, this looks awesome. Abstract!

Pekan Raya Jakarta: part 1

It was so sad that my page rank went down from 4 to 2, for I didn't update this blog for about five days...Geez!!! During last week, I'd been through a very hard week. Ragunan Zoo

Last weekend, I went to a local zoo in my town with some colleagues to photo hunting. We agreed to meet up at the office 7.30 am, sharp. Sharp? Tumplek Blek Event

Last Sunday I went to an automotive event called "Tumplek Blek" in Senayan. Since I have a limited knowledge in automotive, I just did a photo hunting.
